Depending on the medicine you take, you will need to start taking this medicine multiple days before your trip, as well as during and after your trip. DO NOT USE TRAVELERS CHECKS. THEY ARE MUCH HARDER TO CASH.
$100 NEW dollar bills work best.
$20 NEW dollar bills work good too.
You get the best exchange rate in Kenya if you use $100 new bills.
In order to exchange money, you must present your passport.
Credit and Debit cards are accepted at most gift shops. Be sure to notify your bank before you leave where you will be traveling. Otherwise, the ATM machines may swallow your card, recognizing that it could be fraudulent.
DO BRING smaller US denominations and/or credit or debit cards to be used in the US airports.
